Alfreton Town head to third placed Chester looking to return to winning ways after recent difficult results in the league, kick off at the Deva Stadium in the National League North is 3pm.

The Reds head to the Deva off the back of a 2-0 win on Wednesday in the Derbyshire Senior Cup, which saw Alfreton return to winning ways to at least head into tomorrow's fixture with confidence. It was a routine performance and a dominant one with Amari Morgan-Smith grabbing a brace in the first half.

League form has seen a slump from us and subsequently has seen the Reds move from fourth in the National League North to ninth, with Spennymoor handing the Reds another defeat last Saturday; with a 2-0 success at the Impact.

Alfreton struggled throughout the game on Saturday to have sustained periods of pressure and control with the Moors dominant on the ball and in terms of chance creation in the contest. The Reds had their moments with Danny Clarke hitting the bar in the second half but it was a disappointing display overall with Rob Ramshaw's double with a goal in either half, wrapping up the points.

Billy Heath will be looking for his side to re-discover their league form and return to winning ways after a string of results which has seen us win just two of our last eight games in all competitions.

Chester currently sit in third place in the league table with 28 points from 16 games. They are seven places and six points above us.

Their current playing record stands at: P16, W7, D7, L2.

The Seals head into tomorrow's game win-less in their last seven games in all competitions, with five of these being draws. Chester have drawn four of their last five league games.

The hosts are the highest scorers in the league with 32 and have only lost twice in the league thus far. Home form has seen Chester only lose once this season, which was their last home outing (York 0-1).

After winning four home games in a row, Chester haven't won their last three home fixtures in all competitions, so they will be looking to return to winning ways themselves both at home and in the league.
