Fifth placed Alfreton Town make the journey to Edgar Street tomorrow afternoon to take on ninth placed Hereford in the National League North, kick off is 3pm.

The Reds will be looking to bounce straight back from last Saturday's 4-2 home defeat to Farsley Celtic, our second straight home league defeat.

We got off to the perfect start with Nyle Blake slotting into the bottom corner after just 37 seconds but we then went on to concede three first half goals, all of similar nature as three headed finishes gave the Celts clear daylight at the break.

Ex-Red Tom Allan powered home at the far post before two headers from James Spencer saw a 3-1 lead at half-time. We pulled one back through Conor Branson with 52 minutes gone as he hit a stunner from 25 yards into the top corner.

However our momentum took a massive hit as Charlie Andrew spilled a left wing cross into the path of Syers who converted from a few yards. Although the Reds didn't play particular badly within the contest, the manner of our defensive duties would have concerned boss Billy Heath with Alfreton conceded four very soft goals.

However we must take the positives again from the game after excellent starts to both periods which resulted in goals as we look to wrestle back league form and maintain a play off position.

We head into tomorrow's clash having lost three of our last four games in all competitions and two of our last three in the league. We will be looking for back to back away wins however, after our last outing being a success at Leamington (0-1).

The Reds have hit 27 league goals thus far, making us the second highest scorers in the league behind Chester (31).

Hosts Hereford currently sit in 9th place in the league table with 21 points from 14 games, they are four places and one point below us.

Their current playing record stands at: P14, W6, D3, L5.

The Bulls head into the game off the back of two straight defeats in the league, both away from home and both by a 3-2 scoreline at Bradford and then Southport in mid-week. The hosts will be looking to avoid a third straight league defeat tomorrow.

Hereford's last win came on the 1st October at Leamington (0-2), we'll face as expected a difficult test at Edgar Street tomorrow with Hereford unbeaten at home in the league so far this season (W3, D3). The Bulls will be looking for a third win on the bounce in the league at home, after wins against Kettering and Gateshead prior.
