Alfreton Town return to league action after two weeks away with a trip to the Phillips 66 on Non League Day to face Leamington tomorrow afternoon, kick off is 3pm.

It's been a difficult period for the club in within the last three weeks or so after our Emirates FA Cup exit. The double header with Kings Lynn saw a 1-1 draw at the Impact before a 2-1 defeat at the Walks which ended our progression in the competition.

We then faced Darlington two weeks ago as we looked to continue our unbeaten start at the Impact Arena but we slipped to a first home defeat of the season as two late Quakers goals took the points.

We appeared to get off to the perfect start when Conor Branson headed home Josh Clackstone's cross and chance after chance came in the first half for the Reds.

However the second half saw momentum swing and Darlington grabbed a foot-hold in the contest as the pressure grew. We began to get deeper and deeper with tired legs no doubt proving a factor and Darlington levelled with a towering header from O'Neill on 84 before Donawa converted a rebound on 85 after Charlie Andrew saved an initial effort in the box.

It proved to be a snatch and grab for the Quakers as they claimed a first away win of the season but it was another disappointing result for Billy Heath's men, which proved costly as we slip to 8th in the league after other results over the two weeks or so.

We head into tomorrow's contest with no win in our last four games in all competitions, including losing our last two. We will be looking to avoid a third straight defeat and in turn a third straight league defeat after losses against Darlington and Kettering prior.

Away form has seen us struggle this season, we have lost our last three away games in all competitions; although two of these have come at Kings Lynn. We'll be aiming to prevent that number rising to four tomorrow.

Goals will be certainly needed for us with the Reds the joint second highest scorers in the league with 24, only Chester (27) have scored more.

Hosts Leamington currently sit in 13th place in the league table with 15 points from 12 games, they are five places and four points below us.

Their current playing record stands at: P12, W4, D3, L5.

The Brakes head into the game on the back of two straight defeats, both at home to Hereford and then Darlington last weekend in the FA Cup. Leamington have recorded just one win (Chasetown 1-2) in their last seven games in all competitions.

Home form at the Phillips 66 currently sees the hosts win-less in their last four games at home, which includes three defeats. Leamington have also not found the net in their last two home outings.
