Alfreton Town return to league action at the Impact Arena as we welcome Darlington in the National League North tomorrow afternoon, kick off is 3pm.

The Reds will look to re-focus after a disappointing Emirates FA Cup exit at Kings Lynn on Tuesday night, with the second qualifying round tie needing a replay at the Walks. After the first fixture ended 1-1, the replay was a tight with both sides not really generating many early chances, Street denied Amari before Charlie Andrew produced a great save to deny Payne in the pick of the first half openings.

However the second half saw us take the ascendancy as Shane Killock planted his header into the bottom corner at the far post from Josh Clackstone's cross. However just when we appeared to have the tie under control, goals from Adam Marriott and Nathan Fox turned the contest around as we left the Walks with a defeat for the second time this season.

The performance was still a good one despite defeat with the lads giving everything yet again but two sloppy mistakes as well as allowing the Linnets back into the game too early after our opener contributed to a what could have been feeling at full time.

Although the FA Cup journey is over, the Reds still find themselves in a strong position in the league sitting in 5th place after 11 games played, just six points off the summit. Tomorrow brings a welcome return to league duty and we will look to continue our strong home form so far this season.

We head into the fixture win-less in our last three in all competitions but we will be looking for a second league win in our last three after the 3-2 win over Curzon at the Impact was followed by a 2-1 loss at Kettering before the double header with Kings Lynn.

The Reds home form has seen us unbeaten at the Impact this season, we are currently unbeaten in our last six home games in all competitions, but we will be aiming for a fifth straight home league win tomorrow afternoon. Alfreton are also one of the divisions highest scorers with 23 goals, only Chester (24) and Kings Lynn (24) have scored more in the National League North this season.

Visitors Darlington arrive to us sitting in 17th place in the league table with 11 points from 11 games.

Their current playing record stands at: P11, W3, D2, L6.

The Quakers have had a difficult start to the season but enjoyed progression to the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Cup last Saturday with a 3-1 win at Trafford. League form has seen Darlo lose four of their last five league fixtures however.

The visitors have yet to win away from home in the league this season with just one draw at Altrincham to their name, in terms of points obtained on the road. Darlington will be looking to avoid a third straight away league defeat tomorrow.
