Alfreton Town head to Latimer Park to face Kettering Town looking for a sixth win in seven in the National League tomorrow afternoon, kick off is 3pm.

The Reds bounced back from a disappointing 3-2 defeat at league leaders Kings Lynn ten days ago, to record a 3-2 win over Curzon Ashton last Saturday. It was our fifth win in the last six league games for Billy Heath's side who head into tomorrow's clash sitting in 4th place, four points off the top.

It was ten goals and counting for Amari Morgan-Smith who really is a striker in red hot form and his hat-trick guided us to victory over Curzon last Saturday. Amari reacted well at the near post to slot home from Danny Clarke's cross.

Danny East was then tripped in the box and Amari stepped up to convert the penalty via the crossbar, before completing his treble in the second half; reacting to a poor headed back-pass from the Nash defender to finish past the goalkeeper in the box.

Despite the Reds conceding two late goals to set up a nervy final 30 seconds or so, the 3-2 score-line was far from how the game panned out with the Reds dominant throughout and unlucky to not add to the three goals scored. Our Impact Arena form has been formidable with the Reds unbeaten at the Impact this season, with four straight wins and a draw prior.

Alfreton have been on a roll, with only Kings Lynn taking all three points in the last six games but what was particularly impressive was our reaction to defeat with the Reds settling back into the winning trail with no problems, putting the defeat behind us quickly and effectively.

Confidence will be sky high as we look to continue our momentum tomorrow afternoon and continue to maintain our assault on the top of the table. New arrival Conor Branson from Altrincham will provide a massive strength to the squad against the Poppies who have found life difficult in the NLN thus far.

We head into tomorrow's game looking for a sixth win in our last seven games and a third away win in our last four.

Opponents Kettering currently sit in 20th place in the league table with five points from ten games.

Their current playing record stands at: P10, W1, D2, L7.

Last season's Southern League champions have had a difficult start to their campaign with only goal difference keeping them out of the relegation zone. Kettering have lost five of their last six and have won just once this season; which was victory on the opening day (2-1 v Telford).

The Poppies will be looking for a first win in nine games and will be looking to avoid a third straight league defeat and a fourth straight defeat at home, with the Telford win their only home success thus far.
