Alfreton Town look to bounce straight back from Tuesday's defeat at Kings Lynn by registering a fifth league win in six when Curzon Ashton visit the Impact on Saturday, kick off is 3pm.

The Reds winning run came to an end on Tuesday night in an explosive contest as we fell to a 3-2 defeat at new league leaders Kings Lynn Town.

Alfreton struggled to get to grips with the contest and we got off to the worst start possible conceding after just a few minutes. It was 2-0 on 27 and the Reds lacked creativity and tempo in the first half.

The second half saw improvement without us really getting into our stride and gaining a strong-hold, Ben Tomlinson would pull one back before we conceded again a few minutes later. Amari Morgan-Smith grabbed his seventh of the season in stoppage time but the first half damage was done as we slipped to a disappointing defeat.

Billy Heath will now look for a reaction from the Reds to maintain what has been a strong start to the season after nine games.

We head into tomorrow’s game looking for a fifth league win in six and in turn continue our unbeaten start at the Impact Arena.

The Reds have been so strong at home and are looking for a fourth straight home win and a fourth straight clean sheet at the Impact.

We’ll be looking to extend our unbeaten run at home to five games and move back into the National League North top three.

Curzon currently sit in 17th place in the league table with nine points from nine games.

Their current playing record is: P9, W2, D3, L4.

The Nash have lost four of their last five league games including losing the last two. They are winless in their last five league games.

Curzon have yet to win away from home this season (D2, L2). They have lost their last two away games at Kings Lynn and Guiseley and scored just twice on the road so far.

The visitors will be looking for a first win in five tomorrow and a first away win of the season.

Last Time Out:
Saturday 9th February 2019: Curzon Ashton 3-2 ATFC
Our last meeting with the Nash came back in February in what proved to be an incredible contest as we took the lead thanks to Reece Styche on 7, Styche would then be sent off for dissent before Josh Wilde extended the lead on 30. After an injury to the linesman, kit lady Pam Leaning ran the line in the second half after a lengthy delay. However we conceded three second half goals as Curzon claimed all three points in a crazy comeback.
