Ahead of the game against Brackley Town on Saturday at the Impact Arena it was announced that Alfreton manager Billy Heath had bolstered his playing squad with acquistion of versitalile left sided player Joe Stacey from Guiseley AFC
Stacey is no stranger to the Impact Arena having originally joined the Reds in the pre season of the Covid affected behind closed doors season of 2020/21. After a successful Trial he was signed but never went on to make an appearance, being named in a matchday squad only once in an FA Cup win away at Coalville Town.
Joe, a versatile winger had a four year spell across the pond in Virginia, United States, where he studied and played football under a scholarship programme at Bluefield College. Before returning to England, Stacey spend almost three months playing for USL2 side Dalton Red Wolves in Tennessee.
More recently Joe has spent time at Belper Town, Frckley Athletic, Ossett United and of course Guiseley. The 26 year old has made 18 appearances this season for the Lions scoring once.
