Charlie Andrew joins the Reds on a month's youth loan

Alfreton Town are delighted to confirm the loan signing of goalkeeper Charlie Andrew on a month’s youth loan from Hull City.

Charlie, 19, signed a new one year deal with the Tigers this summer and has had two previous loan spells at Bradford (Park Avenue).

Andrew impressed between the posts in a five-month temporary spell with BPA last season, making 15 appearances and keeping four clean sheets to help Park Avenue reach the National League North play-offs after securing a seventh-place finish.

The custodian has also previously experienced time on loan at Pickering Town, playing 60 times in two spells with the Pikes during the 2017/18 and 2018/19 campaigns.

Andrew re-joined Bradford on loan this season before being recalled in August by the Tigers. Charlie is eligible for selection for tomorrow's FA Cup tie with Kings Lynn.

Billy Heath:
We are delighted to have Charlie join us, he brings in competition for Jack between the sticks and it keeps both of them pushing and eager to start. Charlie is another experienced lad and he's been at Bradford a few times and did well.

We brought him in to compete and push for a starting place, he has a great attitude to the game and loves his football, hopefully he can prove that he can compete, it's great for us to have two excellent young goalkeepers at the club.
