Reds head to Yorkshire looking for third win in four

Alfreton Town head to Yorkshire tomorrow afternoon looking to propel into the play-off positions as we face second placed Guiseley at Nethermoor, kick off is 3pm.

The Reds will be seeking a third win in the last four league games after a 3-0 and 4-0 success at home to Blyth and Bradford with a 3-2 defeat at Altrincham sandwiched in-between.

Alfreton have produced some fantastic displays thus far and certainly will feel unlucky to have seven points from the first five games. Narrow defeats to Brackley on the opening day and Altrincham could have swung in our favour with a point gained at least in both of those. However we head into matchday six in a fantastic position as we look to kick on and keep stacking points on the board.

Last weekend's win over Bradford was another impressive display and although we didn't start the game particularly well we still registered a 2-0 lead at the break thanks to an Amari Morgan-Smith brace.

Two further goals came in the second half which was much stronger than the first as Danny Clarke and an own goal completed the scoring as we eased to another three points.

Billy Heath will be looking to continue the early season momentum as we face a difficult test away from home tomorrow afternoon, the Reds have lost both their away fixtures this season at Brackley and Alty, with home form outstanding; seeing two wins and a draw from our first three at the Impact Arena.

We'll be looking to claim our first away points of the new season tomorrow and in turn keep up our good record at the home of the Lions.

Guiseley have started the season very well with three wins from their opening five games and have only tasted defeat once. The Lions sit second in the table with ten points from five, three points above us.

The Lions home form has been impressive with two wins from two so far against Kings Lynn and Spennymoor.

The hosts last outing was a 1-1 draw at Boston last Saturday as they finished the game with ten men after a first half red card and then took the lead in the second half only to be pegged back with a Boston equaliser. Guiseley will be looking to keep up their 100% record at home tomorrow.
