Next up for Alfreton Town in their preparation is the visit of EFL League Two Side Notts County to the Impact Arena on Tuesday in the second match of oir pre season programme.

Another tough assignment is in prospect for Billy Heath`s men with Notts County set to enjoy their second season back in the EFL after winning the National League Play offs in 2022/23 season.

There were plenty of positives to take for the Reds from the first outing against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday with chances created and new signings Jed Abbey Max Hunt amongst those to impress in an all round solid performance against the Championship side. Only a stunning goal from Josh Windass and a second half header from Malik Wilks separated the teams.

Tuesday evening`s fixture is Notts County`s first pre season clash and they are expected to field a strong team. However hot shot Macaulay Langstaff is being heavily linked away from Meadow Lane so may not feature.
