PREVIEW | Kidderminster Harriers vs Alfreton Town FC

PREVIEW | Kidderminster Harriers vs Alfreton Town FC

Towerzey Lisa25 Mar 2023 - 10:59

Liam Henton previews our trip to Kidderminster Harriers.

As we enter the home straight of this National League North campaign with 10 matches to play Alfreton still have a chance of securing a play off berth but will be well aware they need to start picking up victories to close a 6 point gap between themselves and Scarborough Athletic who occupy seventh place, the final play off spot.
The form of the teams in the play off position has been indifferent at best with Darlington,Scarborough and Brackley Town all out of form leaving some of the play off places up for grabs as the season enters an exciting conclusion,
Alfreton picked up a point on Tuesday Night at Southport FC in a game low on quality and best forgotten with neither side managing a shot on target in a drab 90 minutes.
On Saturday Alfreton are on the road again on when they make the relatively short trip to Worcestershire to take on Kidderminster Harriers at their Aggborough home.
Alfreton have a decent record away to Harriers in recent years having won by a single goal to nil on 3 of their last 4 league visits,

Billy Heath`s side will be boosted by the return of Matt Rhead from suspension but with both sides have the fewest number of goals in their league games to date (Kidderminster 77, Alfreton 76) a high scoring affair is not expected. Indeed the two sides have been involved in 12 goalless draws between them this campaign.
Harriers are expected to include former Reds favourite Joe Leesley after a 12 week injury lay off for the winger.
