Alfreton Town face two friendlies against EFL opposition in consecutive evenings starting with the visit of Mansfield Town on Tuesday 30th of July.
There is no sign of the tough pre season programme letting up as Mansfield Town are set to embark on their first season in the third tier since the 2002/03 season after a stellar season saw they secure promotion from League Two scoring an impressive 90 league goals in the process.
Nigel Clough`s side enjoyed an excellent run in the EFL Cup to boot and a long unbeaten run in the process.
The Stags have had a strong pre season so far. Winning convincingly against local sides Hucknall Town and Retford United was followed by a 2--1 victory over a Chelsea Under 21 during a training campaign in Portugal.
Nigel Clough`s men have signed Fraser Blake Tracy from Swindon Town, experienced striker Lee Gregory from Sheffield Wednesday and fellow striker Deji Oshilaja from fellow League One side Burton Albion.
With a number of friendlies still to go including the visit of Grimsby very shortly afterwards Alfreton Town manager Billy Heath will be keen to manage his squad and avoid further injuries.
George Willis and Jake Day returned to action last Tuesday night in the 3-0 defeat to Rotherham United. The fitness of Adam Lund and Max Hunt will also be closely monitored ahead of the game.
