The first in a series of testing long distance away games in the calendar month of February starts for Alfreton Town when they make the journey to the Yorkshire coast to face Scarborough Athletic on Saturday in National League North.

The Reds will be eager to bounce back from a disappointing performance last time out on Tuesday night at the Impact Arena. A goal in each half from visitors Southport inflicted a sixth defeat in seven matches on Alfreton.
Indeed it was the first time Southport have secured a league double over Ofton for 17 years as Alfreton's fourth straight home defeat.

Despite being out of form Alfreton are still in the top half of the league table in 12th place - two places and three points better off than the seadogs having played two games fewer.
Indeed Billy Heath`s men have taken more points (10) than their opponents Scarborough (9) over the course of their last 10 league matches.

Jonathan Greening`s side announced that Sheffield Wednesday loanee Mackenzie Maltby had rejoined the club this week after he was on target at the Impact Arena in the last meeting between the sides in September in a 1-1 draw.

Scarborough come in to the game on the back of a 2-0 home win over relegation threatened Radcliffe and will be eyeing another positive result before a difficult trip to promotion chasing Scunthorpe United next week.

Alfreton`s injures woes were dealt another blow with Harry Perritt ruled out for the rest of the season as he joins George Willis and Billy Fewster in the long term treatment table.
