Billy Heath will face his former club on Saturday afternoon as Alfreton Town face the visit of Halifax Town in the FA Trophy Fourth Round.
Heath’s men started the new year in style last time out, demonstrating their attacking flair with a 3-2 victory away from home against Boston United before a home tie against Kettering Town was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. As a result, the Reds are now unbeaten in five of their last six and will take great confidence heading into their first of three remaining January home fixtures in as many Saturdays.
The Shaymen travel to the Impact Arena sat top of the National League by four points, although the teams directly below do boast a few games in hand on Pete Wild’s side.
The visitors are unbeaten in their last seven fixtures, though their most recent loss actually came against lower opposition in the FA Cup - National League North’s very own Kidderminster Harriers. Here’s hoping for a repeat on Saturday!
There are no fresh injury concerns for either side to consider heading into this tie, so both squads will have the same players available as from their last fixture.
There is no doubt the supporters will have a huge part to play in this one, so get yourself down to the Impact Arena this weekend to cheer on the Reds for the first time in 2022!
