The Good, the Bad and the Ugly...
August was always going to take some topping, but the end of September couldn’t come soon enough for Reds fans. A home win over Curzon Ashton proved to be the only win of the month – they also exited the FA Cup to King’s Lynn Town.

What about the others in September?
New boys Farsley Celtic showed their metal with a perfect month, the only team to do so. Elsewhere, you’re getting plenty of bang for your buck as a Brackley Town supporter. The Saints have averaged four goals a game in September – helped largely by an 8-0 thumping of Bradford (Park Avenue). At the other end, Nicky Eaden has paid the price for Kettering’s poor start while Curzon Ashton extended their winless run to eight.

The high point?
Their only win of the month against Curzon Ashton for obvious reasons. A hat-trick from Amari Morgan-Smith had the result wrapped up before the break.

Star performer…
Summer signing Amari Morgan-Smith has shown bags of quality and goalscoring guile – netting five league goals to take his tally to 11 for the season.

From the dug-out….
Billy Heath will be well aware of the dangers a poor run of form can bring but declared his players won’t “implode” after recent results haven’t gone their way.

How do things compare to last September?
There’s reason to be chirpy for the Impact Arena faithful. Form aside, the Reds are in a better position than this time 12 months ago. They’ve scored more and have more points on the board.

What does October look like?
After a break for the FA Cup, Leamington are first up on October 12 before daunting clashes with two of the league’s form sides in Farsley Celtic and Hereford.
