Reds head to the Walks for a second time for FA Cup Replay

Alfreton Town head to the Walks for the second time this season for an Emirates FA Cup Second Qualifying Round Replay, kick off is 7.45pm.

We played out a 1-1 draw at the Impact Arena on Saturday with David Lynch firing in the equaliser with a fantastic shot from outside the box to ensure there would be a third meeting between the two sides this season.

The first game on Saturday was an interesting one as it presented two of the National League North's highest scorers against each other in what was a difficult draw for both sides. Kings Lynn dominated the opening 20 minutes and deservedly took the lead as Marriott raced onto Gash's flick on, to lob Charlie Andrew who had raced out to intercept.

The Reds equalised thanks to David Lynch's low curling effort just before the break, the second half saw Alfreton dominate but the final ball lacked throughout the half with Amari Morgan-Smith's penalty miss being the biggest chance of the half that went begging.

Never the less we must do it all again with the Linnets tomorrow night to book our spot in the Third Qualifying Round in what will be another difficult test away from home.

We head into tomorrow's game having lost our last two away games, this comes after two straight wins on the road prior. Saturday's draw was a good reaction to the Kettering defeat but Billy Heath will be eager to progress with a trip to Leek Town awaiting the winners.

Kings Lynn have started the new season strongly and are sitting in third place in the league table. They sit a point off the top with only one defeat so far this season which came away to Guiseley (3-0) on the opening day.

Kings Lynn Home Form: P6, W5, D1, L0.

The Linnets head into the fixture off the back to three straight draws in all competitions but they are unbeaten in their last 11 games. Tomorrow's tie pits two of the National League North's highest scorers with the Reds bagging 23 goals this season and Kings Lynn scoring 24.
