Billy Heath adds versatile 22-year-old defender to his squad.

Alfreton Town are pleased to announce the signing of 22-year-old right-back Ethan Dosanjh.

Also able to play as a right-wing-back or strictly as a winger, Dosanjh brings great versatility to the Reds’ current set-up.

Having played the majority of his football in Australia, alongside a brief stint in Portugal, the youngster arrives at Alfreton with a handy helping of overseas experience.

Dosanjh started his youth career in the NSW National Premier League 1. His career at began at Bonnyrigg White Eagles in 2014, later moving to Sydney United 58 in 2016.

The defender made the switch to Europe in 2017 where he signed his first professional contract with Portuguese second division side Vilafranquese at the age of 17.

Dosanjh then returned to Australia in 2019 where he played for the Marconi Stallions.

His first taste of English football came in the curtailed 2019/20 campaign where he spent trial periods with the Barnsley and Bolton Wanderers U23s squads before once again returning to his homeland.

Back in Australia, he signed a first-team contract with Sydney-based St George City for the 2020/21 season.

After international clearance, Dosanjh is now officially a Red and could make his debut this weekend when Billy Heath’s men face Southport at the Impact Arena.

Welcome to Ofton, Ethan!
