Alfreton Town Football Club has made a meaningful contribution to local grassroots football by donating a supply of footballs to Alfreton Town Juniors Football Club in preparation for the new season.

The handover took place at the Impact Arena and was attended by key figures from both clubs as Wayne Bradley presented Paul Phillips and Paul Francis with the donation.

The initiative highlights Alfreton Town’s ongoing commitment to nurturing young talent and strengthening ties between the senior and junior arms of the club.

“It’s vital we continue investing in the future of the club and the wider football community,” said Club Director Wayne Bradley. “The Juniors are an integral part of the Alfreton Town family, and we’re proud to support them with equipment that will aid their development.”

Paul Francis added that the donation is just one step in a broader strategy to connect the club more deeply with local youth football:

“We want young players in Alfreton to feel inspired and supported. This donation is a practical way to help them get the most out of training and matches while also reinforcing that they are part of a much bigger football journey.”

Alfreton Town Juniors is a community-based, grassroots, non-profit football club, run entirely by volunteers. The club plays a vital role in providing young people with opportunities to enjoy and grow through football. It currently supports 23 teams, ranging from Development level up to Under-15s, with multiple squads at various age groups to meet growing demand. The club is also proud to have recently introduced two all-girls teams, expanding opportunities for female players in the local area.

With pre-season now fast approaching, the donation serves as a timely boost for the Juniors and a strong symbol of unity across all levels.
